Branded conference identity, typographic system, digital and print assets created for an international, public security event hosted in Australia. A custom, alphanumeric (art-type) system was created. Inspired by drafting, architecture and construction grids, the scalable letterform provides pays homage to analog technology while maintaining a modern tone and flexible aesthetic.
A monospaced typeface was chosen for titles and headings to support the primary letterform for its resemblance to computer code and robust architecture. This style acted as a bridge between the boldness characteristics of the main type and the simple fonts used for body copy and event information.
