ICCS Plus was designed by police for police, making it unique to other incident management frameworks. It is intended to foster interoperability between jurisdictions and facilitate inter-agency co-operation when responding to different types of incidents, regardless of size, scale or complexity. It incorporates the seven functions of the original Australia New Zealand Counter-Terrorism Committee’s Incident Command and Control Structure into a broader incident management process.
This structure was distilled into the form of an infographic to be used as a visual checklist and process guide for emergency organisations essential to the policing landscape. Using colour coding and curated photography to categorise response organisations in a logical and coherent process map.
